Discussion about camera used for demos- George is working on a plan for an overhead camera. We should eventually use four cameras to utilize our four camera switch. George

Ron Means our membership chair discussed the changes that are being made to the by-laws and a New Member Information sheet. This was followed by a discussion of club cards with a club logo, club name, time and place of monthly meetings, and room for a name and phone number of a member who could be contacted. A motion for the cards was made, seconded and passed.

Club brochures at $0.75 each. Motion to buy one thousand, seconded and passed.

Mt.Vernon and Bellingham’s Kid Festivals July 19 and August 2. We will need between twenty and thirty top turners. Rick will order maple dowels 3/8 and ½ inch diameter for tops. Moved seconded and passed to purchase.

Melanie has prepared a roster of paid and unpaid members; we will be contacting those that have dropped their membership. Members of AAW that appear to not be members of NWW will be sent an e-mail with a link to our web-site and news letters.

Mark says setup for demos is going fin. Garrett and Mark say we need some replacement and spare parts for the Jet Mini-lathes; cost should be around $200.00. Moved, seconded and passed to by parts.

Garrett discussed the cost of classes and feels this should be discussed at future meetings.

Bob suggested we have Jim Christianson return for more critiques and direction in conducting critiques. Garrett says he can help with the critiques.

Dennis says he needs changes to help him with the photo gallery. He needs a permanent assistant and wants people to submit one object for the photo gallery; they can bring more than one turning but designate which one they want in the gallery.

Rick- Mentoring- The first mentoring session will be held at Bob’s shop. Bowl turning 101with Bob Doop and Dan Tibbles presiding. June 21- Wood preparation at Jerry Holmes’ shop. Jerry has plenty of wood and he will accept contributions to the club for the wood.
